Ikea Defies Judge Over Dressers That Killed Six Toddlers
Despite the death of six small children and a Philadelphia judge’s court order, Ikea is refusing to hand over internal documents that may shed light on what caused the company’s dressers to tip over, crushing the children. Twenty-nine million Ikea dressers are being recalled because of safety concerns.
Attorneys for Ikea missed an August 19 deadline to turn over the documents to attorneys representing a West Chester woman, who’s two-year-old son was crushed to death by one of the dressers.
