Senators Want Takata Truck Explosion Investigated
If being the subject of the country’s largest recall wasn’t enough, now Takata has two United States Senators calling for the company to be investigated. Sens. Edward J. Markey, D-Massachusetts, and Richard Blumenthal, D-Connecticut, are calling for the NTSB investigators to uncover how and why an exploding truck carrying Takata airbag parts and explosives, blew up in Texas two weeks ago, killing a woman and injuring four. The appeal comes as the federal recall of Takata airbags expands.
